For Jojo synopsis
The story follows two best friends named Jojo and Paula, who have always done everything together and we’re practically inseparable. They would hit the streets of Berlin living the single life, until one day, Jojo falls in love with a guy from her hometown and decides to build a future with him far away from the city. Paula couldn’t imagine life without her best friend, so she does everything in her power to sabotage Jojo’s relationship.
Here’s the official synopsis via Netflix Media Center below:
"Inseparable friends Jojo (Nina Gummich) and Paula (Caro Cult) enjoy life to the full as young single women in Berlin. That is, until Jojo falls head over heels in love with a young man from her former hometown and wants to build a life with him far away from Berlin – and from Paula, whose world falls apart without Jojo. Driven by the pain of separation and the fear of loneliness, Paula does everything she can to keep Jojo, her better half and soul mate, from what she believes is the biggest mistake of her life: marriage."
For Jojo age rating
For Jojo is rated TV-MA, meaning it may not suitable for ages 17 and under. It was given this rating due to the strong language used by the characters, sexual content, nudity, and smoking. Overall, it’s meant to be watched by mature audiences only.
It’s a fairly short movie with a runtime of only 1 hour and 30 minutes, so you should have no problem watching it in one sitting.
Sadly, Netflix did not release an official trailer with English subtitles. However, we still shared it below.
For Jojo lands on Netflix on July 11 at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Will you be watching the comedy film?
