The limited comedy series Boo, Bitch consists of eight episodes that are all available to stream. The series was created for Netflix by Tim Schauer, Kuba Soltysiak, Erin Ehrlich and Lauren Iungerich, with Ehrlich and Iungerich serving as showrunners.
Boo, Bitch follows a senior in high school who realizes she hasn’t lived her life to its full potential. One night, she decides to take her life into her own hands to live it up. The following day she realizes things didn’t go as planned when she awakes to find she is a “motherf*%king ghost.”
The series stars Lana Condor, Zoe Colletti, Mason Versaw, and Aparna Brielle.
The Flash season 8
All 20 episodes of the eighth season of The CW’s The Flash are now available to stream on Netflix. The series premiered in 2014, with the pilot being the second-most watched premiere in the history of The CW, after The Vampire Diaries in 2009.
Set in the Arrowverse, this series follows Barry Allen, a CSI who has super human speed, which he, of course, uses to fight crime. The eighth season starts with the five-part event “Armageddon.”
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, and it has received rave reviews. Rotten Tomatoes has stated: “The Flash benefits from its purposefully light atmosphere, making it a superhero show uniquely geared toward genre fans as well as novices.”
How to Build a Sex Room
Netflix has a new series titled How to Build a Sex Room. Now, this won’t appeal to everyone, but designer Melanie Rose makes her living by “renovating sumptuous spaces that are all about intimacy.”
Rose is quick to remark that people hear the word sex room, and their mind automatically goes to something dirty, which isn’t the case. Her designs are beautifully done and range from something as simple mood lighting or shelving to display toys or more elaborate designs fulfilling people’s fantasies. She told People, “[Sex rooms] can be works of art. They can be fantasies. They can be anything my client desires.”
Alone season 8
Season 8 of History’s reality series Alone is now available on Netflix. The series follows 10 people who survive along in the wilderness with limited survival gear and are isolated from other humans, except for medical check-ins. They can opt-out anytime or be removed due to failing a medical check-in. But whoever stays the longest wins the $500,000 prize.
“Alone: Grizzly Mountain” is the official title of season 8, and it was filmed in 2020 on the shores of Chilko Lake, British Columbia.
Pirate Gold of Adak Mountain
A new docuseries, Pirate Gold of Adak Mountain, focuses on gold coins found on the remote island of Adak, Alaska. Over the past 100 years, gold coins from the 19th century have been found, but there is rumored to be a pirate treasure worth over $365 million buried that has yet to be found.
The island’s mayor, Tom Spitler has assembled a team of treasure hunters to seek out the lost fortune. The catch, the island is riddled with unexploded bombs from WWII. Spitler and his team are experienced at removing the bombs and are hopeful they can find the treasure and live to tell of their adventures while living off the spoils.
