The second weekend in June is upon us, and it’s time to decide what Netflix shows to binge. This month, Netflix has a wide variety of new releases to keep you happily entertained. Check out the list here. Below are our recommendations for binge-worthy shows, one with a new season and others that have just released their first.

Stranger Things still holds firm to the number one spot on the Netflix Top 10 TV shows list. All American, The Lincoln Lawyer, Ozark, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the Floor is Lava are others on this list for this week.

If you’d like to mix in some movies this weekend, the Top 10 Movie list sees new titles like Hustle and Interceptor and some older favorites like Titantic, Dumb and Dumber, The Hurt Locker, and M:I Mission Impossible. Whatever genre of movies you are in the mood for, Netflix has numerous choices to keep you entertained all weekend long.

Peaky Blinders season 6

The sixth and final season of the British crime drama Peaky Blinders is now available on Netflix. Fans of this series have been anxiously waiting for this release.

Cillian Murphy plays Thomas Shelby, the leader of Peaky Blinders, a crime gang loosely based on a real gang active in Birmingham, England, from the 1880s to the 1910s. The series begins with Shelby’s rise as a crime boss and follows the gang’s local and international expansion. Season 6 begins as prohibition is repealed in the US, and the Nazi Party takes control in Germany.

First Kill

First Kill is a supernatural teen drama based on series creator VE Schwab’s same-titled short story. Schwab serves as executive producer with Emma Roberts, Felicia D. Henderson and Karah Preiss.

The first season of First Kill consists of eight episodes that are all now available to stream. This series follows Juliette, a teenage vampire who needs to take her place among her powerful vampire family by making her first kill. She sets her sights on a newcomer, Calliope, but is surprised to find out that she is a member of a family of vampire slayers.

The series stars Sarah Catherine Hook as Juliette and Imani Lewis as Calliope. They are joined by Elizabeth Mitchell, Aubin Wise, Jason Robert Moore, Gracie Dzienny, Will Swenson, Phillip Mullings Jr., Dominic Goodman, Dylan McNamara, MK xyz, Jonas Dylan Allen ,and Roberto Mendez.

Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey

Another new addition to Netflix’s growing line of true-crime features is Keep Sweet: Pray and ObeyThis four-part mini-series dives into the rise of the president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Warren Jeffs, and the shocking criminal case.

The docuseries, directed by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Rachel Dretzin, uses never before seen footage and heartbreaking personal stories surrounding forced underage marriages and pregnancies, and the sexual, physical, and psychological abuse the victims endured under Jeffs’ leadership.

Surviving Summer

The Australian teen drama Surviving Summer is a Netflix original series that has released its first season consisting of 10 episodes.

Summer Torres is a rebellious Brooklyn teen sent to live in Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia, with family friends after she is kicked out of another private school. Although she was very much against the idea at first, much to her surprise, she falls in love with the tiny town of Shorehaven and even learns to enjoy the favorite pastime enjoyed by the locals, surfing.

Sky Katz plays Summer, and the additional cast includes Kai Lewins, Lilliana Bowrey, Joao Gabriel Marinho and Savannah La Rain.

The Perfect Mother

The French thriller The Perfect Mother has recently been released on the streamer. This series is based on the novel by Nina Darnton and helmed by Frédéric Garson.

The Perfect Mother gives off some Harlan Coben vibes as it sees a mother frantically searching for evidence to clear her daughter of a homicide she is sure her daughter didn’t commit. While she moves heaven and earth to find the clues to clear her child, she uncovers things that make her begin to question her daughter’s innocence in the crime.
