Netflix has granted our wishes and announced that All of Us Are Dead will be returning with a second season! We had an inkling that we wouldn’t be saying goodbye to the zombie series just yet, but to have confirmation is the best news ever. Here’s everything we know about All of Us Are Dead season 2 right below!
All of Us Are Dead premiered on Netflix in January 2022 to many people who had just watched the hit K-Dramas Squid Game and Hellbound. After watching those exciting shows, people were ready to see more action-packed Korean series, and they were not disappointed with the release of All of Us Are Dead. The anticipation for the zombie series was at an all-time high, and subscribers tuned in as soon as it dropped.
After its premiere, it quickly became the fifth most popular non-English-language series debut. Once people begin to finish up the 12-episode first season, they begin to wonder if there would be an All of Us Are Dead season 2. Although the viewership numbers were high, Netflix remained hush-hush on the zombie series fate. However, there was a rumor going around that All of Us Are Dead had been quietly renewed. But it’s important to note that Netflix never came out and confirmed the rumor. Now we have confirmation that All of Us Are Dead season 2 is officially in the works!
All of Us Are Dead season 2 is happening at Netflix
On June 6 at Netflix Geeked Week 2022, a video featuring some of the cast of the zombie series was released. In the video, we see the appearances of Yoon Chan-young (Lee Cheong-san), Park Ji-hu (Nam On-jo), Lomon (Lee Su-hyeok), and Cho Yi-hyun (Choi Nam-ra). They shared a very special message: All of Us Are Dead has been renewed for a second season.

I think it’s safe to say that Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hu, Lomon, and Cho Yi-hyun will be returning in the second season since they participated in the renewal announcement video. With how the first season ended, we can’t wait to see what happens in the upcoming second season!
All of Us Are Dead season 2 release updates
Since the show was just renewed, it’ll be a while before Netflix announces the release date. For now, our best release date prediction would be sometime in 2023. However, there is a possibility we won’t see the second season until 2024. The first season started filming sometime in 2020 and it didn’t come to Netflix until 2022. Since the first season was shooting during the pandemic, and there was a pause in production at least once, this could’ve played a part in why the first season didn’t arrive on Netflix until 2022.
Now that production for many shows and movies is back on track and there are fewer delays, we don’t think we’ll have to worry about any delays in production for All of Us Are Dead season 2. If principal photography starts soon, we think there’s a good chance we could see the second season sometime in 2023.
