As the Crow Flies is a new Turkish television series streaming on Netflix today, June 3. Fans of scandalous television series like Anatomy of a Scandal and fellow Turkish hit Love 101 would be smart to add this series to their watchlists.

Netflix has seen great success with its international properties, particularly Turkish projects like the aforementioned Love 101 and things like Midnight at the Pera Palace, The Gift, In Good Hands, Godspeed and many more.

Created by Meric Acemi, who also worked on Love 101, As the Crow Flies is mature drama series about the inter-generational conflict between a Gen Z fan and her Gen X newscaster idol. When the young woman maneuvers her way into a successful newsroom, she finds herself drawn to the dark side of ambition, and all that it entails.

The entire first season, consisting of eight episodes, is now streaming on Netflix.

What is As the Crow Flies about?

As mentioned, the series centers on a newsroom and shares similar vibes to shows like The Morning Show. Lale Kiran is an accomplished newscaster struggling to keep up with the ever-changing world, including things like social media and the evolution of how business is conducted.

The story follows intern Asli Tuna, a Gen Zer, who is committed to climbing the ladder and reach the summit of her new job. But will Asli succumb to the dark side of her ambition with things like envy and scandal?
