Where was Interceptor filmed?

On Friday, Elsa Pataky and Luke Bracey will square off in the new Netflix action film Interceptor. Pataky plays Captain JJ Collins, who must outsmart her opponent as he prepares a deadly attack that threatens the entirety of the world as we know it.

Interceptor was filmed in New South Wales, Australia, which is very fitting since star Elsa Pataky and her husband Chris Hemsworth live in Australia. Pataky’s co-star Luke Bracey is also Australian. The movie filmed in the old ABC Studios in Artarmon, Sydney.

Another reason the movie was filmed in NSW is because Australia was adept at handling the COVID-19 pandemic and the film was shot during that timeframe. There has been a significant production boom there in the past few years.

Among the specific locations in the area where Interceptor filmed includes the Centennial Parklands, which is one of the most sought-after public filming locations in Sydney. Production also spent some time at the Warringah Aquatic Centre in Frenchs Forest. The center boasts an Olympic-sized swimming pool and was likely used to film some underwater shots or for training before filming started.
