Another month has come and gone, and we have finally been given the gift of Stranger Things season 4 part 1. While the second part of the highly anticipated new season won’t drop until July, there are still plenty of Netflix shows coming to our watch lists in June.
We’ll be waiting a few more weeks for our next Stranger Things fix, but there are two more fan-favorite Netflix shows debuting new seasons in June, including The Umbrella Academy and Peaky Blinders. On top of those shows, there are so many new series premieres.
But is every Netflix show coming in June 2022 worth adding to your watch list? Sometimes you have to skip a couple shows in order to make room for the priority titles, and we’re going to break down exactly which shows you should prioritize this month.

Watch! After nearly two years of waiting after season 2’s release in July 2020, The Umbrella Academy finally returns with its highly anticipated third season. The new episodes pick up in the wake of the previous season’s conclusion as the Sparrows clash with the Umbrellas. Without a doubt, it’s the top can’t miss new title of the summer, and it debuts on June 22.
First Kill
Watch! A coming-of-age series about gay vampires? What’s not to love?! If you’re a fan of The Vampire Diaries but always wanted a little sometime more from the series, enter First Kill. As Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook) prepares to make her first kill, she ends up falling for vampire hunter Calliope (Imani Lewis). Get a taste of the new series on June 10!
God’s Favorite Idiot
Skip! Melissa McCarthy returns to Netflix with her latest project, but this time, it’s a new comedy series called God’s Favorite Idiot. McCarthy teams up with her husband Ben Falcone on the series in the series about tech support employee who who becomes a messenger of God. The series is a must-watch for McCarthy fans, but other could probably pass on the series when it premieres June 15.
Peaky Blinders season 6
Watch! Although Peaky Blinders season 6 has already aired in the UK, the final season of the fan-favorite crime drama makes its stateside and worldwide debut on Netflix on June 10. See how the series comes to an end before the upcoming film follows up the story.
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area
Watch! If you loved the Spanish crime thriller Money Heist, then you’re definitely going to want to add Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area to your watch list when it premieres on June 24. The new series is a remake of the hit Netflix original and features Squid Game star Park Hae-soo in its cast. Don’t miss all 12 episodes this summer!
The Upshaws season 2 part 1
Skip! We all need a few good laughs, and considering that, we shouldn’t say no to a comedy series that seeks to do just that. The Upshaws is the latest Netflix original comedy series and stars Kim Fields, Mike Epps, and Wanda Sykes as a dysfunctional working class family. It’s the throwback sitcom we all need, but if sitcoms aren’t quite you’re thing, save it for the comedy fans.
Dead End: Paranormal Park
Watch! In the mood for a new animated series? The new Netflix original animated comedy Dead End: Paranormal Park is based on the horror-comedy graphic novel DeadEndia and webshort Dead End and takes place at a haunted house theme park. You can’t miss this adventure on June 16!

Watch! You know you’ve missed Iron Chef, and there’s great news for fans of the classic Food Network series: It’s coming back to Netflix with Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend. We’ve never seen a food competition series quite like this one on Netflix, and the new Iron Chef will sure heat up summer when it starts streaming on June 15.

Skip! Floor is Lava became a huge hit during quarantine in 2020 when everyone was looking for some entertainment to take their minds off of everything. Well, the competition series returns with a new season, looking to recapture the magic of mindless fun. Watch season 2 on June 3 if you’d like, or pass on it if it’s not quite the mindless fun you’re looking for.
