Are Stranger Things stars Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer married? New interview has fans suspicious

We always love to root for our favorite on-screen couples, and that’s no exception with Stranger Things. Whether it be Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) or the pair we all want to turn romantic, Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour), it’s easy to fall in love with some of these pairings.

As for Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), their love is on the rocks in Stranger Things season 4 volume 1, and it’s even heavily suggested that Nance will get back together with her former love interest, Steve (Joe Keery). Though all of the Jancy shippers out there are feeling disappointed (me included!), the good news is that Dyer and Heaton are actually an item in real life. Fans will know that the two actors met on set and have been dating for years now. Rumors first started that they might be dating in late 2016, and they made their first red carpet appearance together at the SAG Awards in 2017.

Now, fans are speculating Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton have taken the next step in their relationship and are actually married. But is that true?

At this time, we don’t have confirmation that Dyer and Heaton are married. But here’s why people think that. While promoting Stranger Things season 4, a handful of the cast members got to play with puppies for an interview with BuzzFeed. They gave really great and fun answers and the video is just adorable, so we’d recommend any fan watch it! The end of the interview, however, is where viewers started to raise their eyebrows.

Heaton mentions wanting to adopt one of the puppies but that he has a flight right after so he couldn’t, to which one of the BuzzFeed employees tells him he can fly with a dog. Seemingly not knowing how to say no to such cuteness, Heaton says he’d “have to talk to the wife.” Of course, the comments of the YouTube video below have filled with fans calling attention to his mention of “wife.”

“Had a double take hearing that, did they actually get married? They’re so cute,” one comment reads, while another says, “Are we [really] gonna skip Charlie calling Natalia ‘the wife’ [crying emoji] how cute.” Watch the full interview below! (Heaton’s comment is around the 11:40 mark).

At this time, we’re going to assume that Heaton and Dyer are not married but perhaps they simply use cute nicknames. The fact that Heaton says “the wife” and not “my wife” has me thinking it’s just something to say rather than something literal. It’s all about the semantics!

As fans of the couple know, they are pretty private with their relationship and don’t often talk about one another. Their Instagram feeds do feature photos together, but they don’t post frequently. In an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Dyer made a few rare comments about their relationship, noting that she doesn’t understand the obsession fans have with their relationship. “I’m always curious as to why it comes up. Why do people want to know about it?” she said.

If Dyer and Heaton are married or do get married in the future, don’t bet on seeing wedding photos shared on social media!
