What time is Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 season 2 coming to Netflix?

The controversial Netflix anime series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is returning next week for its second season. Although the show’s animation design isn’t necessarily beloved, there are many eagerly anticipating Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 season 2, which will release on May 23.

Ghost in the Shell is one of the most iconic anime franchises in history and fans are very protective of the source material. Most of us recall the whitewashing controversy that occurred when the 2017 live-action film cast Scarlett Johansson in the lead role.

During the Netflix Anime Day celebration, the streaming service confirmed the new season would be released on May 23, 2022. Public Security Section 9 will face a new threat to humanity.

After the mysterious season 1 cliffhanger, season 2 will pick up with the battle between a “post-human” threat to humanity and Public Security Section 9. Netflix promises that fans will appreciate the polished 3DCG and “heart-pounding, thrilling story” presented by the next batch of episodes.

As mentioned, the show will return on Monday, May 23. Netflix content drops at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. If you are living in the midwest, the new season will be available to you at 2:00 a.m. CT.
