Borrego synopsis

Borrego tells the story of a woman (Lucy Hale) who finds being in the wrong place at the wrong time after she stumbles upon a dangerous criminal whose drug deal goes awry. Having been a witness to illegal activities, she tries her best to escape with her life. However, this proves to be futile once the drug dealer keeps her hostage to avoid being turned in.

The two journey through the desert amid an ongoing investigation dedicated to taking down the drug ring, which may very well be her only shot at getting out alive. But with tensions rising in the drug world and with the rough conditions of the desert, she must work fast or she won’t survive.

The film reminds us of other Netflix escape-for-your-life movies like Hush and The Platform, both of which were extremely popular on the site. Perhaps, like these films, this 2022 title will become a Netflix staple shortly.

Trust us when we say Borrego is going to keep you on the edges of your seat. Head to Netflix to begin streaming every second of the new film.
