Who plays Vickie in Stranger Things season 4?
A new season of Stranger Things is almost here, and that means some new characters are joining the fourth season. Netflix previously announced a slew of new characters we will meet in the upcoming season.
We’ll see Robert Englund as Victor Creel, a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s. In California where the Byers have relocated, we’re going to meet Eduardo Franco who plays Argyle, Jonathan’s new BFF. Joseph Quinn aka Eddie Munson, is the head of the Hawkins High official D&D Club, The Hellfire Club.
Also joining the Stranger Things world is Vickie, a cool and fast talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes. So who is the actress behind the character?
Who plays Vickie in Stranger Things season 4?
Amybeth McNulty has taken on the role of Vickie. Netflix fans may find the Vickie actress familiar and that’s because she’s been in another show on the streaming service.
The 20-year-old Irish-Canadian actress starred as lead Anne Shirley in Netflix’s Anne with an E. She was cast from a selection of 1,800 girls and her audition consisted of talking to trees, chatting with flowers, and building thrones out of twigs. As someone who’s watched the show, I can tell you this girl is certainly talented. I’m excited to see what she brings to Stranger Things!
Her other work includes the lead role in 2021 film Maternal, portraying an alcoholic and drug-addicted teenager in Black Medicine, and being cast in Michael McGowan’s film adaptation of All My Puny Sorrows.
Stranger Things season 4 has been split into two volumes. The first half of the season will be released on Netflix starting May 27, with the second part following a few weeks later on July 1. It’s unclear if we’ll meet Vickie in Volume 1, but as she’s in the high school band I would guess she’d be introduced towards the beginning.
