The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 spoilers: Do Mickey and Maggie end up together?

The Lincoln Lawyer‘s first season has officially made its way to Netflix and is quickly managing to get viewers talking!

In the series, we follow Mickey Haller who returns to practicing law after sitting on the sidelines following an injury. Rather than easing back into things, Mickey is thrown into the deep end after one of his former colleagues is murdered and chooses to leave his entire practice, and all of its clients, to Mickey.

Suddenly, Mickey is not only back in the game but working one of the biggest murder cases of his career all while trying to get up to speed and help cops figure out who might have killed his colleague.

While the legal aspects of the show are the true heart of the story, no good series would be complete without a compelling love story that comes in the form of the will-they-won’t they dynamic established between Mickey and his first ex-wife, Maggie McPherson.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 will have fans asking whether Mickey and Maggie end up together right up until the finale but do they end up together?

Do Mickey and Maggie end up together in The Lincoln Lawyer season 1?

Throughout the first season of the show, there is a lot of back and forth between the two characters. While they parted ways years ago, they’ve remained in one another’s lives and are successfully co-parenting their daughter, Hayley.

Although the pair seem to start off on rocky ground at the beginning of the season, as season 1 progresses Mickey and Maggie are pulled closer together. What starts as some friendly family dinners, quickly evolves into something more culminating with a steamy scene between the two in the finale in which they almost end up in the bedroom!

While it seemed like Mickey and Maggie would end the season together, the writers threw a major curveball viewers’ way towards the end of the episode which saw the couple fizzle out and left their future up in the air.

After Mickey fails to give her a warning about Detective Lankford, resulting in her case against Soto being thrown out due to his lack of credibility after being outed as a crooked cop, Maggie confronts him in a heated exchange.

As Maggie tells Mickey, while some lawyers are able to leave work at the office, neither of them can which is why they simply don’t work — because their clients’ wellbeing will always come first. Even after the exchange, Mickey tells Maggie he’ll wait for her but she makes it clear their fling is over and tells him not to.

It’s going to be interesting to see if the two make their way back to one another in season 2, should Netflix renew the series, but as of the end of season 1, Mickey and Maggie are not together.
