New Netflix movies and shows coming in June 2022

Even though the beginning of the year has provided many high-profile Netflix new releases, including the final season of Ozark and The Adam Project, June just might be the best month yet when it comes to new Netflix movies and shows.
Of course, May claims probably the biggest release of 2022 by far, and that’s the first part of Stranger Things season 4. After over three years of waiting, Stranger Things needed to have its moment. The series will have another moment this summer in July.
In June, there are so many good new Netflix movies and shows coming to our watch lists. Some fan-favorite stars like Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Adam, Sandler, and Melissa McCarthy are coming to Netflix in can’t-miss titles throughout the month.
New Netflix movies June 2022
When it comes to Netflix movies, June kicks off the summer blockbuster season with a lot of hits in the making. You can’t go wrong with these standout titles, which are bound to hit the top 10 and stay there for most of the month.
Interceptor
Release Date: June 3
What’s summertime without an action movie? Elsa Pataky and Luke Bracey star in Interceptor, an action film about an Army captain who takes it upon herself to protect her remote interceptor station as an attack comes their way. The film, which is also executive produced by Pataky’s real-life husband Chris Hemsworth, premieres on June 3.
Hustle
Release Date: June 8
Adam Sandler returns to Netflix with his latest original movie called Hustle. Sandler stars as basketball scout Stanley Sugarman, who helps a new recruit make his way in the NBA. Hustle also stars Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, and Robert Duvall. The sports drama is sure to bring the inspiration when it arrives on Netflix on June 8.
Jennifer Lopez: Halftime
Release Date: June 14
The next pop superstar to get the Netflix documentary treatment is none other than J.Lo. In Jennifer Lopez: Halftime, the iconic singer, dancer, and actress takes a look back at her career so far, including her Super Bowl Half Time Show performance in 2020 with Shakira. Don’t miss the Tribeca Film Festival opener when it hits Netflix on June 14.
Spiderhead
Release Date: June 17
Technically, Chris Hemsworth has two new Netflix movies coming in June, but rather than just executive producing, you can see the handsome action star in Spiderhead. The sci-fi thriller also stars Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett and has all the makings of yet another franchise for Hemsworth. Save the date for a movie night on June 17.
New Netflix shows June 2022
If you’re looking for more binge-worthy titles on Netflix, there’s no shortage of new shows and new seasons coming in June. Obviously, Peaky Blinders and The Umbrella Academy are back with highly anticipated new season, but here’s what else is premiering.
Peaky Blinders season 6
Release Date: June 10
Even though Peaky Blinders fans in the UK watched the sixth and final season between February and April 2022, but Netflix fans of the series had to wait a little while longer to catch the new episodes. Finally, it’s time for Peaky Blinders season 6 on June 10.
First Kill
Release Date: June 10
Are you ready for some vampires to heat up summer? Netflix new original series First Kill will do just that. When Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook) must make her first kill as a teenage vampire, she runs into issues when she actually falls for vampire hunter Calliope (Imani Lewis). It’s a must-watch new young adult series and it all begins on June 10.
God’s Favorite Idiot
Release Date: June 15
Melissa McCarthy is back on Netflix, and this time, she’s leading a new comedy series! The Emmy winner stars and executive produces the series alongside her husband, Ben Falcone, who also created the eight-episode comedy. God’s Favorite Idiot finds Clark (Ben Falcone) becoming a messenger of God, and twists and turns about. Check it out on June 15!
The Umbrella Academy season 3
Release Date: June 22
Finally, The Umbrella Academy makes its long-awaited comeback with season 3. The series last dropped a new season in July 2020, leaving fans to wait nearly two years for the follow-up season. But 10 all-new episodes are on the way to reunite fans with their favorite characters. June 22 can’t get here soon enough!
