Ozark spoilers: Who dies in Ozark season 4 part 2?

Ozark season 4 part 2 has finally arrived on Netflix, and with a crime drama like this, one of the major questions about the final episodes is understandably about who dies.

The first half of the final season ended with some game-changing character deaths that totally changed the motivation of certain main players. Likewise, Ozark still reels from the aftershocks of a major death that went down in season 3.

But who doesn’t make it out of Ozark’s final episodes alive? Here’s a full run down of which characters were killed in Ozark season 4 part 2.

Who dies in Ozark season 4 part 2?

As we know from Ozark season 4 part 1, episode 7, Ruth vows to kill Javi (Alfonso Herrera) because he murdered her cousin, Wyatt. The Byrdes try to keep this from happening, but when Wendy realizes their efforts are futile, she invites Javi to an after-hours meeting in Chicago.

Ruth follows through on her promise and kills Javi. However, Javi’s death isn’t the only murder Ruth becomes involved with in Ozark season 4 part 2. When she and Rachel realign, they find themselves the target of a man named Nelson. Long story short, Rachel kills Nelson.

Elsewhere in the final episodes, Omar Navarro (Felix Solis), the main antagonist of the series and leader of the Navarro cartel, ends up dead as well. Omar had been seen throughout the season from prison, but just like his nephew Javi, he doesn’t make it out of season 4 part 2 alive.

Do Marty and Wendy die in Ozark season 4 part 2?

No, Marty and Wendy do not die in Ozark’s final episodes. Although it seemed as though Wendy was not going to make it after the Byrde family got into the long-teased car accident, she quickly pulls through.

None of the Byrdes were ever put in serious danger throughout the final season, and it makes you wonder what exactly was the purpose of the car accident, which was teased at the beginning of Ozark season 4 part 1.

What happens to Ruth in Ozark season 4 part 2?

Naturally, the character most fans were probably concerned about was Ruth. We wish we had better news to share, but the last standing Langmore dies in the series finale. Camila shoots Ruth for killing Javi, and it’s difficult to watch.

Even though there’s the slimmest chance that Ruth could have survived the gunshot, it doesn’t seem like she did since she didn’t get off the ground and there was no scene after her death that would imply she could have survived. We’ll miss you, Ruth!
