Ozark season 4 part 2 spoilers: An old friend makes a huge return in final episodes

Ozark season 4 part 2 is now streaming on Netflix, and there are lots of surprises in store for fans within the final episodes of the Emmy-winning series. Obviously, ending a series as good as Ozark wouldn’t be possible without honoring the past seasons and its characters.

The final episodes of Ozark season 4 — and the series as a whole — pick up in the aftermath of the ending of part 1, which saw Ruth declaring war in the wake of a loved one’s death. She’s willing to end this mess once and for all by any means necessary, including murder.

But it wouldn’t be Ozark if the Byrdes weren’t standing in her way as they look to maintain the best interests of their family and their own organization. Thankfully, a former ally returns in Ozark season 4 part 2 to lend Ruth a helping hand.

Rachel returns in Ozark season 4 part 2

After leaving the series following the second season, Jordana Spiro reprises her role as Rachel Garrison in Ozark season 4 part 2. Although she was briefly teased in the trailer for the second half of the final season, her return comes as something of a pleasant surprise.

Rachel makes her comeback in season 4 part 2, episode 4 as Ruth makes a trip down to Miami, Florida, where Rachel has been living and working. Ruth brings Rachel a business proposition involving the casino and things inevitably get hairy.

Does Rachel die in Ozark?

Fortunately, Rachel does not die in Ozark season 4 part 2. In order to avoid dying, though, Ruth instructs Rachel to shoot Nelson before he can get to her first. She climbs onto the roof of the trailer with a shotgun and kills Nelson, who had been coming after her and Ruth.

All of this happens before the final episode, including the character’s exit from the series. In the end, Rachel manages to depart the series unscathed once again, though we’re sure she will once again have to start over after getting caught up in the Byrdes’ mess one last time.
