On Wednesday, Netflix is releasing a new documentary about cultural icon Marilyn Monroe. The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes centers on the extensive research conducted by Anthony Summers, who wrote the book Goddess about Monroe.

Throughout his research process, Summers interviewed thousands of people and created more than 650 tapes, the contents of which have never been heard by the public until this documentary. People who knew Monroe best, including directors, friends, hairstylists, co-stars and more, can be heard discussing the actress’s life and her struggles.

Whether you are excited about the documentary or you just consider yourself a fan of Monroe, you might be interested to find out where you can watch some of her most famous films. Below we’ll help you figure out where to watch movies like The Seven Year Itch and Some Like It Hot.

Where to stream Marilyn Monroe movies

  • Some Like It Hot (1959)
  • The Seven Year Itch (1955)
  • The Asphalt Jungle (1950)
  • All About Eve (1950)
  • Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)
  • How to Marry a Millionaire (1953)
  • The Misfits (1961)

Monroe starred in many projects throughout her career, but the above are some of the most popular and well-known. Unfortunately, none of these movies are available to watch on Netflix. Out of the movies listed above, only two are available to stream.

The Asphalt Jungle is currently streaming on HBO Max and The Misfits is available to watch for free via Pluto TV, Kanopy and the Roku Channel.

The good news is that even though you can’t watch Monroe’s breakout performances in the comedies Gentlemen Prefer Blondes or How to Marry a Millionaire on streaming, you can easily rent and/or purchase those films and most of Monroe’s other projects. The majority are available via digital retailers like iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.

Stream The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes this Wednesday, Apr. 27 on Netflix.
