You season 4 and more thriller Netflix shows coming in 2022
We have so much Netflix content to look forward to throughout the year. All of our favorite Netflix shows are expected to be coming back with new seasons, and we can hardly contain our excitement. There are also some new shows that we’re excited to see.
Many of the anticipated Netflix shows are of the thriller genre and this comes as no surprise. People enjoy watching shows that keep them in constant suspense and guessing throughout the entire series. The unexpected twists and turns keep viewers glued to their seats, wondering what’s going to happen next.
Yes, the sci-fi and romantic shows lineups for this year look promising, but there’s just nothing like a good thriller series. Luckily, we have the expected returns of You, Ozark, Who Killed Sara? and many others.
Thriller Netflix shows coming in 2022
Most of the shows on this list have official release dates, while others are expected to arrive on the streamer sometime this year. It’s only right that we start the list off with arguably the best thriller series on Netflix, You.
You season 4
You premiered on Lifetime in September 2018, but no one could’ve known the impact this show would make. The story follows Joe Goldberg, a murderous psychopath who meets women, falls in love, and develops a dangerous obsession with them. Before the first season aired, Lifetime renewed the series for a second season but later decided to pass on it. Fortunately, our favorite streamer picked up the thriller series, and it officially became a Netflix original. Production on You season 4 is underway and is expected to wrap by July. We’re hoping that the fourth season can make a fall or winter release.
Ozark season 4 part 2
We’ll be saying goodbye to the Byrde family and their money-laundering schemes for good on April 29, and we’re nowhere near ready. It’s been a wild ride and we can’t wait to see how everything comes to a close. Ozark is simply one of Netflix’s best original series, and there’s no arguing with that. The show has introduced the world to the amazingly talented Julia Garner and reminded us how great of an actor Jason Bateman is. We also have to give credit where credit’s due because Laura Linney and the rest of the cast give outstanding performances as well. Make sure to mark your calendar because you don’t want to miss Ozark season 4 part 2 coming to Netflix on April 29!
The Midnight Club
Many of us are looking forward to seeing a new thriller series titled The Midnight Club. After the success of Midnight Mass, The Haunting‘s Mike Flanagan will be returning with this brand new series. It’s a TV adaptation of the 1994 book titled the same name by Christopher Pike. The show is about a group of terminally ill patients living at the Rotterdam Home hospice. Each night, the patients meet with each other to tell scary stories. But one night, they decide to make a pact stating that the first person to die will have the responsibility to contact them from the dead. After one of them dies, things quickly go wrong and weird occurrences begin. Netflix has not issued an official release date yet, but we’re hoping for a summer release.
Who Killed Sara? season 3
The third and final season of Who Killed Sara? is coming to Netflix on May 18. It’s one of the best Spanish shows currently streaming on Netflix, so you’re missing out if you haven’t already started watching the series. The story begins with a man released from prison after serving 18 years for a crime he didn’t commit. As soon as he’s released, he sets out on a mission to take down those who framed him for his sister’s murder. Once you start Who Killed Sara?, you’re going to be instantly hooked. I promise!
Love, Death and Robots volume 3
Love, Death and Robots is such an easy and enjoyable watch. It’s an adult animated anthology series consisting of stand-alone episodes spanning several genres. The show is incredibly popular and has won five Emmy Awards. There was a two-year gap between the first and second seasons, but we’ll be seeing the third season sooner than expected. Love, Death and Robots volume 3 is slated to arrive on Netflix on May 20. Make sure to clear your schedules for this upcoming release because you want to be completely engrossed.
