Is Ambulance on Netflix? (where to watch)

This weekend a new blockbuster action flick hits theaters starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza González. Directed and produced by Michael Bay, Ambulance is generating surprisingly good buzz from critics (surprising since Bay isn’t exactly known for being a critical darling).

Gyllenhaal plays Danny, a life-long criminal with plans on a multi-million dollar bank heist. His adoptive brother Will (Abdul-Mateen II) is desperate for money to cover his wife’s surgery and reaches out to Danny for assistance.

Danny uses the opportunity to rope his brother into a life of crime. González plays Cam, an EMT roped into the brothers’ scheme when they hijack an ambulance where she happens to be treating one of the officers injured during the heist.

Based on the 2005 Danish film of the same name by Laurits Munch-Petersen and Lars Andreas Pedersen, Ambulance promises to be a wildly entertaining and addictive thrill ride.

Is Ambulance on Netflix?

Sadly no, Ambulance is not streaming on Netflix and since the film is distributed by Universal Studios, it probably won’t be on Netflix when it does eventually go to streaming. For now, the only way you can watch the movie is in theaters. Find out where the action thriller is playing near you.

However, even though Ambulance isn’t on Netflix, there are several other available movies that should satisfy even the most intense adrenaline junkies. I recommend checking out Triple Frontier, Army of Thieves or The Town.

Where to watch Ambulance

There is no official release date for when Ambulance will start streaming on Peacock, but as of 2022 Universal is expected to release movies on the streaming service as early as 45 days after the theatrical release. Assuming that continues for this movie, it will probably arrive on the service by the end of May.

The Michael Bay film will also be available to rent or purchase via digital retailers and VOD soon, usually within a month or two of release. Generally, the movie becomes available to rent before it heads to streaming.
