Ryan Reynolds makes Netflix history with The Adam Project top 10 ranking

Are you a Ryan Reynolds fan? If so, you might be interested to know that the A-list actor recently made Netflix history thanks to the success of his most recent Netflix movie release, The Adam Project. Within the first three weeks of its release, the sci-fi movie also starring Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo moved into the top 10 most popular English-language films produced by Netflix.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that the film is currently ranked at No. 7 but could easily move up. Thanks to its progression to the all-time top 10 list, Reynolds has become the only actor with multiple films in the top 10 Netflix roster.

Ryan Reynolds is the only actor with three films in Netflix’s all-time Top 10

Besides The Adam Project, Reynolds stars in two more action films that are in Netflix’s all-time top 10. The other movies are Red Notice and 6 Underground. Red Notice is easily the most impressive of the three as it currently sits at No. 1. Its status isn’t all that surprising, considering it includes Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Two sequels are currently in the works.

6 Underground is slightly more surprising since it’s a bit lesser-known, but the 2019 movie is No. 9 on the list, which is still an impressive feat. Before Reynolds reached the top 10, he was tied with Sandra Bullock, whose original Netflix movies in the top 10 list include Bird Box and The Unforgivable.

Imagine if The Proposal came out now instead of The Adam Project, maybe the co-stars would be tied again! Either way, with The Adam Project‘s release, Reynolds surpassed Bullock to claim the historic spot of being the only actor with three films in Netflix’s all-time top 10 ranking.

Shawn Levy, The Adam Project director, also broke a Netflix record, becoming the only producer-director with a show on the most popular English TV list and a film on the most popular film list. Levy is a producer on Stranger Things and has an exclusive TV deal with Netflix along with a first-look film pact.

Levy and Reynolds have also collaborated a few times between The Adam Project, Disney’s Free Guy and the upcoming Deadpool movie (the third in what will be a trilogy), which Levy is set to direct.
