Did Andrew Garfield win the Oscar for Tick, Tick… Boom!

It’s no secret that Andrew Garfield has become even more popular in the past year. On top of his amazing performance in the Netflix movie Tick, Tick… Boom! and his much-talked about cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he’s hotter than ever.

Adding to this hot streak, Andrew Garfield landed his second Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance as Jonathan Larson in Tick, Tick… Boom! Garfield’s first nomination in the category was in 2017 for the movie Hacksaw Ridge.

Although The Power of the Dog landed the most nominations of any movie in 2022, Tick, Tick… Boom! added two more to Netflix’s grand total. On top of Garfield’s nod for Best Actor, the film also scored a nomination the category for Best Film Editing.

Unfortunately, Andrew Garfield did not win his first Academy Award for Best Actor for his fan-favorite performance in Tick, Tick… Boom! However, another famous and adored actor took home his first Oscar for an equally incredible performance this year.

Will Smith won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Richard Williams in the movie King Richard. Smith also won the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for the role. He’s also up for Best Picture for King Richard as a producer on the film.
