After many pleas and cries, Degrassi: The Next Generation is officially streaming on HBO Max today. Though this is great news for longtime fans of the beloved teen show, Netflix users began to wonder what exactly meant for Degrassi: Next Class, especially since HBO Max is also the service bringing us a reboot of the classic Canadian series in the near future.

What’s more, we wouldn’t put it behind HBO Max to acquire all spin-offs of the show to ensure subscribers don’t have to jump between different platforms just to watch their favorite characters. After all, that is the option that makes the most sense for everyone.

So, is Degrassi: Next Class leaving Netflix soon? Or will fans be able to put their worries to the side? We tell you everything to know below.

Will Degrassi: Next Class leave Netflix?

As of today, there is no confirmation that Degrassi: Next Class is leaving Netflix and most likely, there never will be. After all, the show is an original series which means all rights currently belong to Netflix and Netflix only.

Of course, with streaming services changing every day, we can never say never. Netflix could strike some legendary deal with HBO Max (as it did with Sony) and relinquish the rights to the 2017 show, or if something similar to what happened with Disney and the Marvel shows occurs. Or perhaps, the two sites will share the rights.

For now, you can only watch it on Netflix. Either way, we’ll be sure to update you once or if anything changes, but until then, there’s no need to panic—Degrassi: Next Class isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Now that you know this great news, be sure to head on over to Netflix to stream all four seasons of the beloved teen show and stay tuned to learn more about the future of the series.
