It also managed to rank on Netflix’s top 10 list for an extended period of time and is one of the most popular non-English TV series on the streamer.

If we’re being honest, none of this really comes as a surprise since there’s been a huge spotlight on Korean content on Netflix since the release of the global sensation Squid Game. K-Dramas are taking over, and they’re definitely here to stay. Although Netflix has released more K-Dramas since the release of All of Us Are Dead, people still can’t help but wonder about the zombie series.

People want an All of Us Are Dead season 2, and they’re looking for every new update about the fate of the original series. There’s been silence on the renewal front for a while, but now there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for All of Us Are Dead fans. Netflix typically makes a decision on the fate of a show within a few months after its release. It took four months for Squid Game to be renewed, and we haven’t reached that mark yet for the zombie series. Due to the show’s immense popularity, I would say the zombie series is leaning more towards a renewal.

Will there be an All of Us Are Dead season 2?

It seems very likely that there will be a second installment. First, the show is very popular with viewers. Second, there’s obviously more story to tell with how things wrapped up in the first season. Lastly, there have been rumors that the show has already been renewed.

According to Small Screen, All of Us Are Dead has been quietly renewed and is scheduled to come to Netflix in 2023. They reported that a Netflix insider gave them information that the streamer wants “season 2 to be released in 2023.” However, we’ll have to take this rumor with a grain of salt because neither the creators nor Netflix has confirmed this rumor to be true.

The good news is that co-creator Lee Jae-kyoo has plans for a second season. He spoke with The Korean Herald back in February and said, “Many directions, settings and scenes were intentionally produced to expand the story into an additional season, including the introduction of the new races of zombies — immune and immortal. If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity‘s survival, the next season can talk about the survival of zombies. I hope to present viewers with another season.”
