The best-selling, legendary video game franchise Halo has finally gotten the live-action TV show treatment, and it’s no surprise subscribers are eager to know if the exciting series is ready to stream on Netflix.

The series based on the games follows Chief, played by Pablo Schreiber, a Spartan-class super solider, and his artificial intelligence partner in crime Cortana, voiced by the game’s own Jen Taylor, as they deal with the alien threat known as the Covenant. Also in the cast for this exciting series is Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Bokeem Woodbine, and Burn Gorman, among many talented others.

The Halo TV show is on Paramount+

Unfortunately, the live-action series adaptation of Halo isn't available to stream on Netflix right now because it's a Paramount+ original series. Halo originally premiered on the platform on March 24, 2022 with its nine-episode first season. The second season finally premiered on Feb. 8, 2024 and will contain eight episodes, which concludes on March 21.

It's highly unlikely that the series will ever stream on Netflix, which means you will have to watch Halo on Paramount+. In the recent past, Netflix actually has acquired a few original titles from Netflix, including School Spirits and Queenpins, leaving the potential there. However, it's currently not in the cards. You can also purchase the episodes on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV for $2.99 per episode.

Here's how to sign-up for Paramount+

1. Go to the Paramount+ homepage and create an account
2. Choose your plan (Paramount+ Essential or Paramount+ with Showtime)
3. Enter your payment method and finalize your account
4. Add Halo to your watch list and begin watching Halo seasons 1 and 2

Paramount+ offers two key plans. The first being Paramount+ Essential, which goes for $5.99 per month after a one-week free trial or $59.99 per year after a one-week free trial. There's also Paramount+ with Showtime, which offers an ad-free experience and includes Showtime content, too. That plan goes for $11.99 per month after a one-week free trial or $119.99 per year after a one-week free trial.

While the Paramount+ with Showtime would be my personal choice because it offers more content and doesn't include ads, if you aren't planning to use the streaming service as a main source of entertainment or you're not interested in Showtime titles, it's probably more worth your while to save a few bucks and opt for the essential plan.
