In the eighth and final episode of Is It Cake season 1, Andrew Fuller went head-to-head with fellow bakers April Julian and Hemu Basu (a former Halloween Wars champ, by the way!). Their job was to design the “cake of their dreams” for a shot at the ultimate prize of $50,000.

Andrew Fuller ended up winning the finale. Those who frequently watch the Food Network probably recognized Fuller from some of the network’s popular baking competitions like Candyland and Halloween Baking Championship.

Judges for the finale included comedian Loni Love, Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown and Saturday Night Live vet Bobby Moynihan. Andrew ended up winning with his intricately designed suitcase. April made a sewing machine, and Hemu created a marble statue cake. While all three were stunning, Andrew took home the grand prize.

In the final moments of the last episode, an emotional Andrew tells the cameras:

"“I’ve never come this far in something. I feel like I’m stepping into the person I’m supposed to be, and it’s just a cake show, but this is huge for me. I love every single one of you. You knew you were gonna get tears, and you got ’em. Thank you so much. I love you guys.”"
