What is Love, Life and Everything in Between about?

Just because Valentine’s Day has come and gone already doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate love in all of its beautiful forms!

Netflix seems to be a proponent of this sentiment as the streaming platform just released one of the most heartwarming series of the year, aptly titled, Love, Life and Everything in Between.

To us, the series is reminiscent of many other Netflix originals such as Master of None and Love, Death and Robots, but to you, it may remind you of another title dear to your heart.

Naturally, you’ll have to stream the show yourself to find out the many ways this series will move your soul. Before you do so, however, we want to tell you what to expect. Read on to find out!

Love, Life and Everything in Between synopsis

Love, Life and Everything in Between is an anthology series journeying the many love stories one can find in various Arab countries. Each story highlights the many difficulties that can arise when dedicating yourself to someone unconditionally, but it also calls attention to the small joys that come with this selfless act.

There will be eight different stories for you to enjoy. Courtesy of Netflix Film’s Twitter, here are the synopses for the first four episodes.

Episode 1: “O Brother” – Egypt

"Directed by Sandra Bassal and starring Egyptian superstar Ahmed Ezz, this short film set in a village in Egypt tells the story of an engagement canceled after the bride’s father lost his good omen—and his journey to getting it back."

Episode 2: “Al-A’Sha” – Saudi Arabia

"In this comedic Saudi Arabian short, we meet an accomplished psychiatrist who finds herself stuck on an absurd date. Directed by Saudi director Abdulmohsen Aldhabaan and starring Reem AlHabib."

Episode 3: “Kazoz” – Palenstine

"Funny, emotional, and heartfelt, award-winning directors Hany Abu Asaad and Amira Diab helm this tale of an opinionated and enthusiastic bride on her quest to get married on Valentine’s Day, no matter the circumstance."

Episode 4: “Babydoll and Lampchops” – Tunisia

"Hamda gets caught up in a messy web of financial woe while simply attempting to pamper his wife for Valentine’s Day. Directed by acclaimed Tunisian director Kaouthar Ben Hania and starring Abdelhamid Bouchnak."

All four of these episodes fall under an hour in duration as does the remaining titles. Additionally, every episode has been given an age rating of TV-14 meaning it’s the perfect watch for you and the family.
