Whether you want comedy or a heartfelt story, there’s something for all when it comes to Netflix shows and movies this week.

How can Netflix possibly top last week’s list of excellent releases? It’s impossible to top the final season of The Last Kingdom, right? Well, the streamer is certainly trying with more great Netflix shows and movies arriving.

There really is something for everyone. The full week has some interesting releases, including the likes of A Walk Among the Tombstones and Pedal to the Metal season 1. However, there are some releases you won’t want to miss at all.

As usual, this list is in release date order. We just can’t compare the various genres.

Heist: The Great Robbery of Brazil’s Central Park

There are a lot of crimes of the past that we’d love to know more about. How did they get set up? How did the criminals get caught? Why did they do what they did? Heist: The Great Robbery of Brazil’s Central Park focuses on the 2005 heist that saw the attempted theft of 160 million reais.

It is a docuseries. It will take us into who the crew was and how the heist was set up. It will go through everything the police did to get to the bottom of it and prevent the attempt from being successful.

Rescued by Ruby

The second release of the week to look out for is for all The Flash fans out there. Grant Gustin is taking on the lead role in Rescued By Ruby. He plays a state trooper who has a dream of getting into the K-9 Search and Rescue Unit.

He chooses to partner with a naughty little shelter pup, Ruby. She’s the underdog just like him, and they’re going to make the perfect team. It’s all based on a true story, which adds another heartfelt layer to it.

If you’re in the mood for a rom-com, Backpackers is the one to look out for. There are a few movies with this title over the years, so if you’re not too sure which one it is, that’s okay. It’s a Spanish-language movie that focuses on two people working in Peru.

One is a workaholic architect and the other is a fiery artist. They have a chance encounter while backpacking in Peru, helping both of them change their views on life.

Human Resources

Fans of Big Mouth need to check out the next of the Netflix shows and movies on the list. It’s all about the spin-off, Human Resources. The world of Big Mouth is about to open wider as we delve further into the hormone monsters.

The animated series continues to look into the various needs to balance romance and the workplace. There’s always plenty of drama going on.

What about when it comes to needing a thriller? Netflix has us covered with Windfall. Jesse Plemons and Lily Collins stars in this thriller about a man who breaks into the home of a billionaire. Well, it’s a vacation home, and the billionaire isn’t supposed to be visiting.

What happens when the billionaire does come to the vacation home? He ends up getting there as the couple does, and it brings some interesting drama.
