One of several new releases this weekend is the dramatic miniseries The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey starring Samuel L. Jackson. The series is based on Walter Mosley’s novel of the same name. Besides Jackson, the show also stars Dominique Fishback, Walton Goggins, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Damon Gupton, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams and Omar Benson Miller.

Jackson plays the lead role of Ptolemy Grey, a 93-year-old man grappling with dementia who starts to remember his past temporarily. He uses his returning memories to investigate the suspicious death of his nephew.

So far, the show has received high praise from critics and currently has an 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with Jackson’s performance being singled out as excellent.

Is The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey on Netflix?

No, the Samuel L. Jackson-starring miniseries is an Apple TV+ original. That means it is unlikely the series will ever be available to watch on Netflix. It’s possible that the two streamers could share content sometime in the future, but don’t expect that to happen anytime soon

Even though the series is not streaming on Netflix, there are actually quite a few different movies starring Samuel L. Jackson available to watch on the service, including The Other Guys, Unicorn Store, Snakes on a Plane, The Hateful Eight, Oldboy, Unthinkable and Coach Carter.

Where to watch The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey
