A new reality television series is coming to Netflix soon titled Byron Baes, and you absolutely must know everything about the show!

Byron Baes was announced in April 2021 and quickly garnered some controversy for how the series portrays the beautiful coastal town in Australia. As reported by NME, some Byron Bay residents came together to protest the show, and even former mayor Simon Richardson came out and expressed his disapproval of the series.

With all the pushback, the series creator Julian Morgans spoke out and said, “You’re going to love it, or really love talking about how you hate it.” After taking a look at the official trailer, I don’t think the show will be bad. On the contrary, it looks very entertaining and drama-filled, making for good reality TV.

While we wait for the new original series release on Netflix, we’ll share the Byron Baes official synopsis and so much more below!

Byron Baes synopsis

The reality series follows the lives of a unique group of Australian influencers as they navigate their careers, social life, and love life in the beachy hotspot of Byron Bay. The cast includes some familiar faces if you’re a lover of reality TV and some newcomers as well. Elias Chigros, Nathan Favro, Hannah Brauer, Dave Frim, Saskia Wotton, Elle Watson, Jade Kevin Foster, Simba Ali, Sarah Tangye, Alex Reid, and Jessica and Lauren Johansen Bell are in the cast.

It’s rated TV-MA due to there being partial nudity, strong language, and alcohol use. So make sure your kids are occupied before turning on Byron Baes and streaming to your heart’s content.
