Is The Thing About Pam starring Renée Zellweger on Netflix?
By Mads Lennon
Renée Zellweger, Judy Greer and Josh Duhamel are leading the cast of a new crime drama called The Thing About Pam. Zellweger plays the lead role of Pam Hupp, a convicted murderer currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of Betsy Faria (played by Greer).
The Thing About Pam is based on a true story, and the script is adapted from the Dateline podcast of the same name, plus the additional coverage from Dateline NBC. It will consist of six episodes and has been billed as a limited series, so it doesn’t sound like there will be any additional seasons.
Apart from Zellweger, Greer and Duhamel, the series also stars Katy Mixon, Gideon Adlon, Sean Bridgers, Glenn Fleshler, Suanne Spoke and Mac Brandt. The Thing About Pam will officially premiere on Tuesday, March 8.
Is The Thing About Pam on Netflix?
No, it is not a Netflix Original. The series is an NBC show, so it will air on the network at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 8. In the future, The Thing About Pam could stream on Netflix, but it doesn’t seem likely since NBC will probably want to keep it exclusive to its streaming service, Peacock.
Where to watch The Thing About Pam
To watch the true crime drama, you will need a subscription to either Hulu or Peacock. You might have heard that NBC recently opted to cut the flow of content to Hulu, but that won’t go into effect until September. For now, if you have Hulu, you can watch new episodes of The Thing About Pam the day after the linear premiere.
If you have cable, you can also obviously watch the series. New episodes air Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET. And episodes will also be available to watch on the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock. The Thing About Pam is a weekly show, so new episodes come out each Tuesday or Wednesday morning if you’re watching on streaming services.
