Dunkirk is coming to Netflix in March 2022

Dunkirk, the 2017 Christopher Nolan wartime movie, is coming to Netflix in March 2022! Having taken a quick sneak peek at Netflix’s March release list, we were over the moon to spot that the war film, which was widely praised by critics, is going to be available to stream on Netflix.

The multi-award-winning movie saw Harry Style making his acting debut on the big screen alongside some other pretty famous faces, including Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Tom Hardy (Venom). If you are curious about the plot of the wartime movie and are eager to find out when you’ll be able can catch the film on Netflix, you’re in the right place!

What is Dunkirk about?

While the Christopher Nolan movie does use real-life historic events for some parts of the film, like the evacuation out of Dunkirk, France during World War II, the storyline and characters viewers see on screen are fictional and come from the imagination of Nolan himself. The official synopsis for Dunkirk gives insight as to what the movie is about without revealing all the juicy plot points. It reads:

"“During World War II, soldiers from the British Empire, Belgium, and France try to evacuate from the town of Dunkirk during an arduous battle with German forces.”"

The movie sees the allied soldiers work together to escape and evacuate the area of Dunkirk while trying to avoid capture or death from the German army which had them surrounded.

Dunkirk release date on Netflix
