Breaking Manifest season 4 news! No, it’s not a release date, but it’s just as exciting for long-time fans of both the series and its leading man Josh Dallas. The actor, who we’re betting big on being the top Netflix star of the year, will be going behind the scenes of the upcoming final season.

While we’re used to seeing the charming actor in front of the camera as the fearlessly determined Ben Stone in Manifest, Josh Dallas will be stepping behind the camera and sitting in the director’s chair for at least one episode of season 4.

Thanks to the Manifest cast, who haven’t let Manifesters down a bit in posting sneak peaks of the upcoming season, we have been getting a front-row seat into the production of season 4. This time, leading lady Melissa Roxburgh shared the big news about Dallas’ directing gig.

On Friday, Feb. 18, Roxburgh shared a snap of Dallas sitting in what we can only assume is the director’s chair, looking over the script for the episode. And he’s obviously pulling double duty in the episode as actor and director with his Ben Stone hair on fall display.

Further details on which Manifest season 4 episode Dallas will be directing and what goes down in the episode have yet to be revealed, though we know we’re in deserving and capable hands.

According to IMDb, this will be Dallas’ first foray into directing. We would have loved to have seen his vision for an episode of Once Upon a Time, which he starred in with on-screen and real-life wife Ginnifer Goodwin for 135 episodes, but it’s fate for his first directing job to be Manifest.

From what we have seen and heard so far from set, Manifest season 4 is shaping up to be the best yet, and there’s so much to look forward to. Thankfully, Matt Long hasn’t stopped spilling teases, with the actor further confirming a tentative release date in his Instagram comments.

In his most recent photo shared on Feb. 18, Long responded to fans asking about the season 4 release date, assuring one that the first part of the season “likely won’t be [released] until the fall/winter” of 2022. We’re already counting down the days!
