Netflix shows that might be canceled: Master of None

Seasons: 3

Created by: Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang

Starring: Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim, Noël Wells, Lena Waithe, Kelvin Yu, Alessandra Mastronardi, and Naomi Ackie

After a four-year-long wait, the Emmy-nominated series Master of None premiered its third season in May 2021. Sadly, this might be the comedy-drama show’s last hurrah because it’s been nine months since the third season’s release on Netflix, and there still hasn’t been any word from the streamer or the show’s creators about a fourth season. The Netflix show hasn’t been officially canceled, though. So there’s still hope.

There’s a possibility that the show might go on a long hiatus again. The second season premiered in May 2017, and co-creator Aziz Ansari said that the comedy-drama series would be possibly going on a long break. The break did, in fact, happen and fans didn’t see another installment until 2021. This could happen again for season 4.

In my opinion, I don’t think the creators will have fans waiting this long again because then they’d lose most of their audience. Season 3 might just be the end of the road for the comedy-drama series, which is extremely sad to think about.

Master of None has been praised for its approach to humor and navigation of timely topics such as race, sexuality, and modern relationships. I think fans deserve at least one more season to close everything out. Hopefully, Netflix and the creators grant the fans wishes and renew Master of None for a fourth season. We’ll just have to wait and see what decision is made.
