A new weekend is almost here. This is a chance to catch up on all the recent releases. These are the Netflix movies to watch this weekend.

This is a special weekend. Not only is it time to catch up on the releases from during the week, but it’s also a great weekend to watch those rom-coms you know you’ve been meaning to watch. It is Valentine’s weekend after all.

I know not everyone is into the rom-coms, though. Sometimes you need horror or drama. That’s why this list is made up of a great mixture of content so you’ve got something to check out throughout the weekend.

Into the Wind

We start with a documentary. In the United States, the name Terry Fox may not mean much. In Canada, he is an inspiration, and schools around the country still celebrate him. He’s become an even bigger figure after his statue was vandalized during the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa earlier this month.

Terry Fox was a teenager who developed and beat cancer in his knee. He had to have his leg amputated, but he made the decision to run across the country to raise money. His story doesn’t have a happy ending, but his courage and determination are what is so inspiring. You need to watch Into the Wind to see his story.

Love Hard

The first of the rom-coms on the list is a holiday-themed movie. It’s perfect for this time of the year, though. Plus, we get The Vampire Diaries‘ Nina Dobrev back on our screens with Jimmy O. Yang!

A woman decides to head out to visit her online boyfriend for the holidays. However, she realizes she’s been catfished by his best friend. Now she needs to figure out what to do. And the best friend needs to find a way to get the girl.

Tall Girl 2

Let’s get onto something a little lighter. The next of the Netflix movies is a new one. Tall Girl 2 picks up where the previous movie left us.

Jodi is no longer the outcast in school. She’s gained new popularity, but that comes with some complications. It could lead to her losing her best friends; the ones there for her when she needed them the most.

The Privilege

Need a thriller before we get to the last of the rom-coms? The Privilege is a new German movie on the streamer. We know the European movies are some of the best.

A privilege boy attends an elite school. No, this isn’t going to be like Elite or Control Z. Not in the sense of a murderer or hacker terrorizing the students. However, there is a conspiracy within the school, and he needs to find someone who will listen to him about it.

The Royal Treatment

Now it’s time for the rom-coms. One of the recent ones you likely overlooked is The Royal Treatment. This is great for fans of A Christmas Prince and The Princess Swap—and they are more great Netflix movies to check out this weekend.

The Royal Treatment follows Izzy, a New York hairdresser who is given the chance to style the hair at an upcoming royal wedding. It’s a major break for her business, but what happens when she starts falling for the groom, who happens to be a prince?
