Inventing Anna will make its arrival on Netflix on Friday, Feb. 11, so it’s time to prepare yourself for this highly anticipated new release!

The upcoming Netflix original series is inspired by the 2018 New York article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler. It was created and produced by Shonda Rhimes and consists of a talented cast of actors such as Julia Garner, Anna Chlumsky, Katie Lowes, Laverne Cox, Alexis Floyd, and others.

The story is centered around the infamous scammer, Anna Delvey (Anna Sorokin), and how she convinced New York City’s wealthiest socialites that she was a German heiress. Between the years 2013 and 2017, Anna conned many members of the city’s elite party scene. In the miniseries, we follow a journalist with a lot to prove as she investigates Anna Delvey’s case.

The drama series is rated TV-MA, which means you shouldn’t be watching this show with anyone aged 17 and younger. The show is for mature audiences only.

This age rating isn’t surprising, seeing as though Inventing Anna is about a scam artist. In this series, you can expect some graphic violence, coarse language, sexual content, and use of alcohol by characters. These are all things you wouldn’t want your kids to see.

You can check out Netflix’s Maturity Ratings Guide for more information about how maturity ratings are set.

Before you hit play on Inventing Anna‘s title page, we have some Netflix movie suggestions that are age-appropriate for kids to watch. I think you should put on an action film for kids because they’re more likely to pay attention throughout the whole movie. The Mitchells vs. the MachinesWe Can Be Heroes, and Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution are all great action films for kids to watch while you binge-watch Inventing Anna.
