Sweet Magnolias season 2 has finally arrived on Netflix, and fans have been reunited with their favorite characters and stars, including the lovable Helen Decatur played by the incredibly talented Heather Headley.

The second season picks up with Helen in the midst of changes in her personal life. You won’t find any spoilers about what happens with Helen’s love life here, but let’s just say that like everyone else in Serenity, she has some big decisions to make about her future.

But even in the darkest moments of Sweet Magnolias season 2, there was also plenty of levity. It’s a feel-good show after all. During one particular birthday celebration, Helen joins Erik on stage for a little karaoke, which takes her fellow Sweet Magnolias by surprise.

Likewise, some fans of the series who were previously unfamiliar with Heather Headley’s work might have also been surprised to see the actress sing in the new season of the hit Netflix series. Does Headley actually sing as Helen in the karaoke scene?
