In Nov. 2021, Netflix confirmed that Alice and Borderland season 2 will be released in December 2022! The streamer took the time during a virtual Japan Festival event to share news about a handful of their shows, confirming the thriller will be returning in late 2022.

We have more great news to share. During Netflix’s TUDUM, the streamer announced the official release date. The second season will arrive on Netflix on Dec. 22!

Though a Dec. 2022 release date is disappointing for fans hoping they’d be able to see the new season sooner, it does align with the first season’s release, which debuted on Netflix on Dec. 10, 2020.

On Sept. 24, Netflix dropped the first teaser for the upcoming second season.

While not everyone can return from the first season of Alice in Borderland, it looks like Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Aya Asahina, and Riisa Naka will return, and fans should be eager to see what the show has in store for their characters moving forward. Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, and Sho Aoyagi joined the cast for season 2.

As for the official synopsis, Netflix has not shared what Alice in Borderland season 2 will be about, but it will definitely pick up where the first season ended. The manga is made up of 18 volumes and 87 chapters, indicating there is plenty of stories left to tell.
