Tall Girl 2 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more
By Reed Gaudens
Tall Girl was one of the most talked about Netflix original movies of 2019. Sometimes that talk wasn’t always the best, but it ultimately led to the inevitable Tall Girl 2.
In the past few years, Netflix has set itself apart in the teen romantic comedy genre, landing huge hits with the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Kissing Booth trilogies and beyond.
There’s no doubt that the Tall Girl sequel will repeat history and prove a big hit for Netflix, and it will be one of the best new Netflix movies coming in 2022.
Below we share everything fans need to know about Tall Girl 2, including the official release date, full cast list, plot synopsis, final trailer, and more!

Tall Girl 2 synopsis
As implied by the title, Tall Girl centers on Jodi, a 16-year-old who happens to be just over six feet tall. Because she’s always been the tallest girl at school, Jodi becomes insecure about her height and the negative attention it brings her. Thankfully, she overcomes this insecurity.
In the sequel, Jodi appears to be thriving and rising about her height as she’s found a new sense of confidence that trickles down to all aspects of her life. However, those hard-fought insecurities return in the face of pressures at school.
Check out the official synopsis from Netflix:
"After her inspiring speech at the homecoming dance, Jodi (Ava Michelle) is no longer just the “tall girl” – she’s popular, confident, has a boyfriend, and just booked the lead role in this year’s school musical. But as the pressure of her newfound popularity intensifies, so do her insecurities, and new relationships are formed while old ones are tested. As the world she built starts to crumble around her, Jodi realizes that standing tall was only just the beginning."
It’s unclear whether there will be another installment after the sequel, but Jodi’s story seems like it could go on as she continues to come of age. We’ll let you know when Netflix announces the future of the Tall Girl franchise.
