Another adult animated series will be coming to Netflix soon, and it’s called Bad Crimes. We share all the juicy details for this upcoming Netflix original series like release date updates, cast, synopsis, and more.

On Jan. 18, Deadline reported that Netflix ordered Bad Crimes, a dark comedy procedural from creator Nicole Silverberg. Silverberg, Greg Daniels, Mike Judge, and Dustin Davis serve as executive producers on the series.

Netflix already has a great selection of adult animated series on its platform, such as Big Mouth, F is for Family, Inside Job, BoJack Horseman, Disenchantment, and Chicago Party Aunt. And now we have two new adult animated series slated to come to the streamer like Bad Crimes and Human Resources. Adult animations are starting to take over, and we’re not complaining!

Bad Crimes release date

Netflix has not announced an official release date. Since the streamer just recently ordered the series, we don’t expect to learn about a release date anytime soon. So, for now, we’ll give our release date predictions.

The earliest we think we could see the upcoming dark comedy series is in late 2022. But we’re leaning more towards a 2023 release. When Netflix announces an official release date, we’ll inform you.

Bad Crimes cast

The full cast has not been announced yet. However, we do know that Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus will both be starring in the leading roles. Byer will portray the role of Kara, and Lapkus will play Jennie.

More cast members should be announced as the show moves further into the production process. We’ll make sure to update you on the new cast additions.

Bad Crimes synopsis

There isn’t an official synopsis yet, but we have a gist of what the show will be about. According to Variety, the show follows two FBI agents, Kara and Jennie, who travel across the world to solve gruesome crimes while juggling their friendship, careers, and relationships.

There will be 10 episodes in the first season. It’s unclear if the episodes will be a half-hour or an hour each. When we become privy to this information, we’ll let you know.
