Is Rebelde (2004) on Netflix?

Have you watched the Rebelde reboot on Netflix yet? If not, you need to head on over to the streamer and stream this new Netflix original because it’s what everyone is talking about. But if you’re like us and binge-watched all eight episodes already, you’re probably feeling nostalgic and want to go back and watch the 2004 version. So, is Rebelde (2004) available to stream on Netflix?

The 2004 version of Rebelde is a remake of the 2002 Argentine telenovela Rebelde Way. It was created by Cris Morena and produced by Televisa. The television series aired on Canal de las Estrellas from 2004-2006. It was a hit with teens and propelled the series’ stars into stardom with the formation of the internationally successful band, RBD.

Rebelde follows the lives of six teenagers at the prestigious Elite Way School, otherwise known as EWS. Although the students come from different backgrounds and have their own distinct personalities, their passion for music is what brings them together to form a band. But of course, there are opposing forces like La Logia (The Lodge), a group of wealthy kids trying their best to eliminate scholarship kids.

Is Rebelde on Netflix?

Unfortunately, the 2004 version is not on Netflix. It was on Netflix at one point but then was removed. The show hasn’t been on Netflix since December 2019. And sadly, we’re unsure if the teen series will ever make a reappearance. But with the reboot’s popularity, Netflix might just bring it back.

Keep streaming the reboot on Netflix so that there’s a possibility we could see the 2004 version on the platform soon.

Where you can watch Rebelde

We hate to report more bad news, but there isn’t a place where you can watch this classic teen series. Rebelde is currently not available for streaming anywhere. So, for now, you’ll have to just keep watching the reboot.

However, Netflix has other musical content on its platform that you can stream in the meantime. But you’re probably not going to find a musical series or movie on the same level as Rebelde, seeing as this show is rated TV-MA.
