Teen content on Netflix is getting to a slow start at the top of 2022 as no fan favorites are dropping this month. Yes, this does mean Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 will miss the window for releasing within the show’s series premiere anniversary month. Sorry, Winx fans.

However, if you’re all about thrilling mysteries and horrors then there a few classics that landed on the first of the month, you’ll want to check out. Among them are I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

This film series was rebooted into a television show for Prime Video, but the films have their own place in pop culture history especially since ’90s heartbreakers Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. starred in the original.

The biggest teen release this month is Rebelde, which is a reboot of the Mexican series of the same name that ran from 2004-2006.

It’s not an aged up Julie and the Phantoms (which was, unfortunately, canceled), but it is a musical drama centered on a talented group of teens that fits into Netflix’s teen brand. As in, it’s dramatic with some feel good moments but also darkness involving a serious plot and real world issues teens contend with while coming-of-age.

Here are more of the teen shows and movies coming to Netflix this month!
