Netflix is only adding 7 new movies and shows this week
It’s the first full week of 2022, and while Netflix isn’t bringing a ton of new movies and shows, there are a few new things coming to the streaming service this week.
There’s a rom-com, a new horror movie, and a new reality show with a bunch of social media influencers.
Four to Dinner or 4 Metà hits Netflix on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. The Italian rom-com tells the story of four single friends who pair up in different combinations, but not all of the potential couples are meant to be. The film challenges whether a soul mate really exists (or should exist) or if it’s just something we dream up.
Netflix new releases
More in the mood for horror? The Wasteland (also known as The Beast on IMDB) is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Jan. 6. The Spanish film takes place in the 19th century and follows a family who is isolated from the rest of society.
It may be peaceful in the middle of nowhere but it doesn’t last long until the family is visited by an evil spirit that feeds on their fear and tries to tear them apart. But can the young son save his mother from the evil being? Or will he have to save her from herself?

This week also brings Hype House on Friday, Jan. 7. The new reality show will feature Nikita Dragun, Chase Hudson, Larray Merritt, Sienna Mae Gomez, Jack Wright, Kouvr Annon, Vinnie Hacker, Alex Warren, Mia Hayward, and Thomas Petrou.
The show follows the social media influencers as they all live in a house together and deal with fame, friends, and love. The level of drama is going to be unreal!
