Adult animated sitcoms are the potato chips of television shows. Once you start, you just can’t put them down. One after another after another until you reach the bottom of the bag, er, the end of the season. As some of Netflix’s long-running original animated series sign off, it’s time to fill your watch list with more of their offerings, like the medieval fantasy comedy Disenchantment.

From The Simpson creator Matt Groening, Disenchantment features the voice of Broad City star Abbi Jacobson as rough-around-the-edges Princess Bean. She drinks a little too much and isn’t particularly princess-like, but Bean travels around Dreamland with her elf pal Elfo (Nat Faxon) and personal demon Luci (Eric Andre) uncovering mysteries and coming into her own power.

Disenchantment first debuted on Netflix in August 2018 to mixed but mostly positive reception from critics while remaining something of a cult favorite on the platform. The third part of 10 episodes, the first half of the second season, bowed in January 2021 ahead of the remainder of the season. Don’t miss out on the hilarity and fantasy of Disenchantment.
