Are Cobra Kai’s Mary Mouser and Xolo Maridueña dating in real life?

We’re almost to the finish line, Cobra Kai fans! The karate dramedy is coming back for another season at the end of the week, and it’ll see Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) coming together to take down John Kreese (Martin Kove) and the Cobra Kai dojo. By the looks of the previews, you won’t want to miss Cobra Kai season 4.

It goes without saying there’s tons of action in the Netflix Original. From the All Valley tournament to seriously dangerous fights at school, there’s always some type of drama going on. And beyond the physical altercations, there’s also matters of the heart. That’s right — Cobra Kai includes romantic relationships that get a little messy.

Main characters Sam (Mary Mouser) and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) strike up a romance in season 1, but unfortunately that ends up falling apart because of their feuding dojos. By season 3, however, the two rekindle their feelings and it’s obvious they still want to be together.

So what about the actors who play Sam and Miguel in real life? Is there a romance off the screen for the pair as well?

Are Sam and Miguel from Cobra Kai dating in real life?

Those shipping Sam and Miguel (how can you not?!) will have to just settle for their fictional romance, as Mary Mouser and Xolo Maridueña don’t appear to be dating in real life.

As we’ve previously reported, Mary Mouser’s boyfriend was an actor named Brett Pierce. We haven’t gotten confirmation if they’ve split or not, however the Cobra Kai actress hasn’t shared any photos of the pair on Instagram since they celebrated their five-year anniversary in Dec. 2020. She’s pretty active on social media, so it’s suspicious she hasn’t posted recent pics with Pierce.

Additionally, while Mouser currently follows Pierce on Instagram, he does not follow her. That certainly looks like a sign that they’ve called it quits. At this time, however, this is just speculation. We don’t have confirmation either way.

As for Maridueña, he’s either single or very private about his personal life. There’s no sign of a significant other on his Instagram page, which he frequently updates, meaning he could be flying solo right now. However, that wasn’t always the case. In fact, Maridueña actually dated one of his Cobra Kai co-stars!

According to Heavy, Cobra Kai actress Hannah Kepple, who plays Moon on the Netflix show, revealed in 2019 that she was dating Maridueña. While being interviewed at The Paley Center for Media, she said of her co-star: “Well, I am dating Xolo who plays Miguel. Season 1, we were actually friends, a little flirty and then we started talking after season 1, and it clicked.”

What a surprise! They certainly looked cute together. Similarly to Mouser’s relationship, we don’t have confirmation whether Mariduena and Kepple have split or not. The site Who’s Dating Who does claim that they dated from 2018 to 2019, though. They report the Miguel actor is now single.

Though Mary Mouser and Xolo Maridueña aren’t dating in real life (that we know of), that doesn’t mean we can’t still root for Sam and Miguel in the new season of Cobra Kai.
