While Ciri was featured a lot in season 1 of The Witcher, she is featured even more heavily in season 2. She has finally made her way to Geralt, and now, he is her protector. But at the beginning of the season, he doesn’t exactly know why he’s protecting her. He doesn’t understand exactly what she can do.

But that soon changes the more she trains. Things happen that can’t be explained away. It also becomes clear to him that she is trying really hard not to tell him something. But eventually, he sees just how powerful she really is.

Nothing really surprised Geralt anymore. He’s seen the worst of monsters and men. But Ciri’s powers are definitely a surprise to him.

While it’s not entirely clear where Ciri’s powers came from, it is clear that she has the power of chaos. Similar to Yennefer’s powers. But while Yennefer’s powers are strong, Ciri’s are on a whole other level.

Spoilers ahead for The Witcher season 2!

What are Ciri’s powers?

Ciri can move things, move people (as we see in the episode with the bridge), and open up portals. Not to mention she can grow flowers with her blood!!

She’s also really good at destroying things. We saw that in the first season when she toppled a monolith and created a long crack (canyon?) in the earth.

She created another deep crevice this season, but she also became a weapon of mass destruction in the final episode. She used her powers to summon beasts and use bits of debris (that she created) to fight against the witchers. Sure, she was under the influence of the Deathless Mother, but those powers were all her.

Based on what everyone is saying about her, her power could be big enough to do much more damage. Based on what Triss said this season, Ciri’s powers could be used to destroy everyone. Or at the very least, be used as a very powerful weapon to destroy a whole race of people.

Whether that be the elves, the mages, or men depends on who ends up with power over Ciri. Hopefully, it doesn’t come to that, but we’ll have to wait until season 3 to find out.
