We picked five good Netflix shows to watch this weekend (Dec. 18-19, 2021).

In case you need to hear this, Christmas is a week away! I don’t mean to scare you, but I thought you might need a reminder. Netflix is here to get you through all the holiday gift wrapping and other preparations with great Christmas movies and shows to keep you entertained.

The list of Christmas-themed choices seems endless, with so many great ones to choose from. There are holiday features that are romantic, funny, kid-friendly and more. Be sure to check the fantastic Netflix originals for the holidays. The Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2, Love Hard, A Boy Called Christmas, The Princess Switch, Holidate, Klaus and A Castle for Christmas. 

Maybe you need a break from the holidays and just want a good series to binge this weekend. There are plenty to choose from, including Lost in Space, Money Heist, Twentysomethings: Austin, Bridgerton and Outerbanks.

Below, we have some Netflix show recommendations for you for this weekend, starting with The Witcher season 2.

The Witcher

The Witcher just released its second season that fans have waited two years for. Like season 1, the second season consists of eight episodes released altogether.

This series is based on the Polish book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. The story follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a monster hunter linked to Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) by destiny. The story takes many twists and is full of action-packed scenes set in a fantasy world filled with monsters and magic.

The Witcher has been renewed for a third season.

Selling Tampa

Selling Tampa is the spinoff of the wildly popular Selling Sunset is a reality series the follows the agents at Allure Realty. This agency founded by Sharelle Rosado sells only the best homes in the Tampa area.

The unique aspect of Allure Agency is an all-women, all BIPOC agency. This creates a wonderful perspective in the world of real estate, and since the women will have unique personalities, there is lots of drama. Not only do you get to view some fantastic real estate in Florida, but you also get to look into the lavish lives of the women selling these multi-million dollar homes.

Emily in Paris

It is almost Emily in Paris season 2 release day. So, what better time to binge season1 again for the umpteenth time?

Emily is Paris is the tale of an American girl sent to Paris to work at a marketing firm. She gets off to a rocky start as the employees there aren’t too keen on an American coming in and telling them how to do their jobs. But, she quickly switches gears and eventually makes some friends and meets a possible love interest; of course, she does, it’s the city of LOVE.

Emily in Paris season 2 premieres on Dec. 22.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous

If you need a fun family series, check out Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. This fun for the whole family series is part of the Jurassic Park franchise. This animated series has four seasons available to stream, and reviews have gotten more positive with the release of each new season.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous starts with a group of teens invited to a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a state-of-the-art adventure camp. The camp is located on the opposite side of Isla Nublar island. When the events of the Jurrasic World film happen, when the dinosaurs escape, the teens must band together to survive.

Sugar Rush Christmas

Maybe you need some inspiration for all of your holiday baking. Sugar Rush Christmas will fit the bill. There are two seasons of this competitive baking series available to stream.

Four sets of bakers create Christmas-themed confections as they work towards winning the $10,000 prize. Hosted by Hunter March, there are three rounds of competition, cupcakes, confections and cakes. All are judged by professional chefs Candace Nelson and Adriano Zumbo, who are joined by a different guest judge each episode.
