It’s another Thanksgiving weekend, a time to relax with the family. Not sure what to watch? Here are five good movies on Netflix to check out.

Thanksgiving weekend is a time to relax with the family. Okay, you’ll be out doing some shopping too. Black Friday deals are no longer on one day of the year anymore. You can usually get them all weekend.

At the end of a long day, you just want to relax with a good movie. There are some great options on Netflix, whether you’re looking for a holiday-themed weekend or you want a true-crime documentary. The full list of options that dropped during the week can be on the overwhelming side.

That’s why we’re cutting the list down to just five good movies on Netflix. Here’s something for all interests and needs.

5 must-watch movies on Netflix this weekend

A Boy Called Christmas

The first movie is good for the whole family. It also has a Christmas theme for those looking to get into the holiday spirit. A Boy Called Christmas is a must for the weekend for those reasons.

Nikolas is a young boy who heads to the snowy north in search for his father. The father went off to find Elfhelm, the fabled village of the elves, and hasn’t returned. Nikolas is about to find out way more than he thought possible on the journey with his loyal pet mouse and his headstrong reindeer called Blitzen.

Dig Deeper: The Disappearance of Birgit Meier

For those who prefer a true-crime documentary, there are a few options. One of the movies on Netflix this weekend has to be Dig Deeper: The Disappearance of Birgit Meier.

Birgit Meier disappeared in 1989. Her brother refused to give up on finding her, even when the police made multiple mistakes that would lead to problems within the case for years to come. This documentary looks into those missteps and the journey of one brother to get any sort of closure about his sister.

Robin Robin

Need something else for the family? Robin Robin is something to check out. It follows an optimistic young robin who is raised by a family of mice. Just this in particular is a beautiful tale that shows it doesn’t matter what’s on the outside.

The young robin is different, though. She needs to learn why that is. Then there’s one big question. Will she learn how to fly when she has no bird to show her how? That’s all she wants this Christmas.

Spoiled Brats

What happens to trust fund brats when they lose their trust funds? That’s something you’ll get to see in the next of the movies on Netflix.

Spoiled Brats is a French comedy that focuses on three siblings. When their family goes bankrupt, the spoiled siblings realize that they need to work to earn their own money. Of course, they’re not going to like the idea at first. If you love Schitt’s Creek, this is certainly worth watching.

Vita & Virginia

Finally, it’s time for a period movie that is perfect for those who love stories about real people of the past. We’re in the 1920s, following Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. When the two meet in London, they realize there’s more between them than a friendship.

Sure, they’re both married, but that isn’t going to stop them from embarking on a dangerous love affair. It’s one that inspires Virginia’s novel Orlando.
