You can get a little more niche if you’re watching by yourself or with a small group. The larger the group or family makes things a little more complicated, so I chose some Netflix original shows with broad appeal.

Virgin River 

Virgin River tells the story of the residents of the titular small town. It mostly focuses on Mel Monroe, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, as she tries to move on from incredible loss. She finds a friend in Jack, played by Martin Henderson, but is there something more?

There are three seasons of Virgin River on Netflix. Virgin River season 4 is coming to Netflix in 2022.

Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop stars John Cho as Spike Spiegel, a bounty hunter who travels the galaxy of 2071 with his partner Jet Black, played by Mustafa Shakir. The series just premiered on Netflix, so you and your family probably haven’t seen it.

The Netflix original series is based on the anime of the same name. If you like action with style, Cowboy Bebop is the Netflix show for you.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things is a must-watch if you haven’t seen it or if you need to get caught up before Stranger Things season 4 hits Netflix in 2022.

There are a lot of Stranger Things haters out there, but I bet if you give this series a real chance, you’ll be hooked in no time.
