Are the Die Hard movies on Netflix?

The debate occurs every year. Is Die Hard a Christmas movie or not? I fall into the “of course, it’s a Christmas movie!” camp for so many reasons that it would take a college thesis to get into, so I’ll save you all from that.

But every year, no matter what, I watch it (and probably one of its sequels) around Christmas. I have all of them on DVD, but are any of the movies available to stream on Netflix?

Are the Die Hard movies on Netflix?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. None of the movies in the franchise are available on Netflix. Not even A Good Day to Die Hard, the latest in the franchise which came out in 2013.

If you type in “Die Hard” into the search engine on Netflix, you get the following results: Love Hard (close but not close at all), The Last Boy Scout (Bruce Willis is in it), Red Notice (okay, it’s an action movie), and Seinfeld (I have no idea).

So if you’re looking to watch any of the Bruce Willis-led movies this holiday season, you’ll need to look somewhere else.

Where to watch the Die Hard movies

The original Die Hard, which is the best one, and Die Hard 2 are available to stream on Amazon Video, YouTube, Vudu, and Google Play. But both films are only available to rent. They aren’t free even for subscribers of Amazon Prime.

Die Hard: With a Vengeance and Live Free or Die Hard are available to stream for free from Tubi and also available for a small fee from YouTube, Google Play, Vudu, and Amazon Prime.

A Good Day to Die Hard is streaming on Hulu, HBO Max, and YouTube TV and available to rent on Vudu and Amazon Video.

As of now, there is no news of another movie coming out. There have been some rumors that a series was possibly coming to one of the streaming services, but that hasn’t really gotten off the ground.
