What is Prayers for the Stolen about?

Based on Jennifer Clement’s novel of the same name, Prayers for the Stolen tells the story of three young girls who live in a village where human trafficking and drug crimes are the status quo.

The three do everything in their power to live a fairly normal and safe life despite the current affairs of their village. But once a young girl goes missing, they are quickly reminded of the dangers that could potentially befall any one of them.

The cast of this 2021 film consists of Alejandra Camacho and Camila Gaal, who both play Paula in the film, Giselle Barrera Sanchez and Blanca Itzel Pérez as Maria, Ana Cristina Ordonez Gonzalez and Marya Membreno as Ana, and Here on Earth actress Mayra Batalla plays the role of Rita.
