What do the Stranger Things season 4 episode titles mean?

It’s hard to know exactly what the episode titles mean this early in the process, especially we don’t know if the correct order.

We don’t know what each episode means, but we’ve taken some guesses at what the titles could mean.

“The Hellfire Club”

The Hellfire Club” is the first episode of the season. That was revealed on Stranger Things Day 2020.

We also know this is referring to the Hawkins D&D Club that many of our favorite characters are involved with. The club is led by Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.

We know that D&D will have a bigger role in this season, so this episode will be really important in setting the stage.

“Vecna’s Curse”

The second episode is titled “Vecna’s Curse,” and this is another D&D reference that could have huge implications, especially for Eddie Munson.

From what I could gather online, “Vecna’s Curse” likely refers to these artifacts from D&D, the Hand and Eye of Vecna. Basically, they give the wielder powers, like super strength and sight, but they come at a price.

According to Fandom, wielding these artifacts turn the person evil over time. So, eventually, the person who uses them is doomed.

I don’t like the sound of that, but it’s possible that we could see someone find something similar to these artifacts and then start to turn bad.

“Dear Billy”

We all saw how much Max was struggling at the end of Stranger Things season 3. I think there’s a good chance this episode could be about Max and the burden of knowing what happened and not being able to share that or deal with it in a healthy way.

“The Nina Project”

“The Nina Project” could be referring to a USSR program that revolved around Nina Kulagina, a real woman with alleged psychic abilities. She was the subject of many experiments, and she lived until 1990.

Interesting.

“The Dive”

I don’t know what this could be referring to, but I have some theories. Perhaps, we could be going back to the quarry where Will’s “body” was dumped in season 1. Why did the Hawkins National Lab people put his body there?

In the third Stranger Things season 4 teaser trailer, we see Steve swimming in dark water.

Could this be what the “The Dive” is referring to?

“The Massacre at Hawkins National Lab”

We’ve already seen one massacre at the Hawkins National Lab. Is this going to be another one? It sure sounds like it!

“Papa”

Uh-oh! You all know what this means, right? Here comes Dr. Brenner!

“The Piggyback”

I have an idea about what this episode might be about, but I don’t want to spoil anything! Sorry!

That’s all for now! We’ll learn more about Stranger Things season 4 as we get closer to the new season! Now, all we need is the Stranger Things season 4 release date and trailer!
